Port Double Berth

Hi all.
I beleive the portside berth in the saloon converts to a double but can't work it out,can anyone help.Thanks.Ronnie.

Hi Ronnie,
Out of the factory all SeaDog berths were singles. Many owners have converted either the port saloon berth or the aft cabin into a double.
The exact method is down to whoever did the conversion and what skills they had. A common system is to vave a couple of battens (one on the forward bulkhead and one on the galley half bulkhead plus a large board that lives on the port bunk and pulls out.
If you can let us know what you have, maybe with photographs, I am sure we can work out how to use it.
Dougal has a massive double in the aft cabin, actually it is the full size of the aft cabin and has a very comfortable 'memory foam' mattress.
