Anyone any experience or advice on laser flares, as supplied by http://www.rescue-flares.co.uk/
As usual we have a cockpit locker full of expensive unused expired pyrotechnics and wondered if this could be the way to go. Also how many should I carry and which ones?

The Cruising Association carried out some tests and their view was that they are certainly not yet an adequate replacement for pyrotechnics. If anyone is interested I'll root out the article, and give more details.
