Chain Locker
When weighing anchor on Glass Lady the chain piles up in the chain locker & quickly forms a "pyramid" shape which blocks the spurling pipe. Easily dealt with if there is a spare hand on board but a real nuisance when short-handed. The chain locker has a bottom grating which is best left out.
Is this a problem on all Seadogs?
Would like to hear if anyone has improved the chain locker arrangement to overcome this problem.

Re: Chain Locker
Yes, we have had the same problem.
However as there are two of us on board it has not caused too many problems. I did think about a modification, but have not gone further with it.
The idea was to have a vertcal solid triangle of robust plywood directly under the chain exit, sloping down and forwards, and well attached. On it's top to attach a gully, most probably a halved plastic pipe of about 2 inches diameter.
That way the chain would tend to be carried forward, and be likely to spill either side as the area became full, filling up the aft part of the locker last.
