Bilge Keels

Does anybody have a detailed drawing of a bilge keel.
We have a damaged bilge keel which needs to be repaired but we are afraid to cut it back to much as we do not want to hit the water tank area.
Great web page.

Hi,
I havent a drawing but the pictures on Rudi Kramers web pages will give you a good idea of how they are constructed and the internal layout etc,
Somebody elseon here may have drawings.
On the positive side if the tank is not leaking any water from the damaged area then very careful prep should allow a sucesful expoxy repair, provided you can dry it out well.

Hi Philip

I was the skipper who brought Natuna to Ireland. When did you buy Glyfada?

I have a cross section drawing of the bilge keel by Reg Freeman, the boat's designer. I could get a copy made and send it to you if that is any help. Please let me know if you want me to go ahead. John L.
