Useful Result from a Break-in

Some years ago Twotails was broken into. The guys who did it were nicked the next day, and we got most of the stolen items back a couple of months later.
They did not understand how to open the hanging cupboard door in the fo'csle, so smashed out the plywood between the two ventilation slots above it.
I've wondered what to do about the damaged area for some time, but found out on our trip to Fowey. The enlarged opening is ideally placed to use as a handhold, with the other hand using the washbasin, for getting off the toilet when the boat is moving around in a seaway! So, we now have a new teak handhold slotted over the plywood, making it even more comfortable to use. There are a couple of pictures of it in the Gallery.

Sorry, I should have added, in case anyone asks, the 3 pan head screws are some of the shower curtain attachments.
